With roots in education and a passion for storytelling, Craig Bush Digital Media began as a journey through teaching, technology, and publishing. Backed by a degree in teaching with a specialisation in Geography and the Social Sciences, our founder first stepped into the creative world by self-publishing classroom resources. These were built using early drag-and-drop computers from British Acorn Technologies and Risc PCs—tools that revolutionised desktop publishing at the time.
Using programs like Ovation Pro and Impression, followed by Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom, a love for visual design and meaningful content quickly took hold. Over the years, this evolved into the production of annual school yearbooks and professionally crafted educational publications.
Parallel to this, running a conference and events company brought hands-on experience in designing handbooks, programmes, and promotional materials—fine-tuning a skillset that merged detail, design, and communication.
The first full-length book came in 2022: a deeply personal 300-page family history, rich with over 1,000 photos, maps, and family trees. It was this project that sparked the idea behind a publishing service that honours personal and community histories.
Today, this is a bespoke publishing business dedicated to helping individuals and families preserve their heritage. Whether it’s a local history or a multi-generational family saga, we provide a first-rate, personalised service at a reasonable cost—blending professional design with care and authenticity.
